Artists Hugo Laporte and Katja Novitskova propose at Carré d’Art – Museum of Contemporary Art in Nîmes the foundations of a museum and archaeological institution from a time not yet known to us, yet not so distant from our own. It gathers what could be the traces and artifacts of a future humanity, grappling with increasingly disturbing ecological, technological, geopolitical, and cultural issues. «Oracle Museum» is developed around a fictitious museography, showcasing a wide variety of objects, images, sounds, mythologies, and characters created by the artists with machines and artificial intelligences, to show us a future that is still avoidable.
