‘I’ll see it when I believe it’ is an off-site project located in one of the islands of Istanbul called ‘Büyükada’. Exhibition takes place in an abandoned area on top of Büyükada, which was built 100 years ago by a German general from W.W. I. What is left from the area is the ruins and traces of the old houses. The artists discovered the area and produced their pieces inspired by the area and the process. Zeynep Yılmaz, one of the artists, wrote a Turkish poem regarding the exhibition:

inanmadan bakılan hiçbir şey gerçek değildi.
hangi parçasını eline aldıysan da gerçek oldu.

ormanda bir ağaç düştü,
kimse duymadı.

niye diye sorulduğunda:
anlattık ama kimse inanmadı.

oyulan taşlar yerinden,
evin çatısı duvarından,
ağaç kendi kökünden,
ve çakallar etrafta,
yazılan oyunu oynadı.

yolda yürürken bir yer bulmuştuk,
bugün hala soruyoruz:

neresiydi orası?
