Kamil the First’s work entitled “Delegates’ Dance” refers to the traditional Danse Macabre motif, in which 14 figures dance in a circle – 7 skeletons and 7 delegates from different countries of the world. The work is inspired by Cai Guo-Qiang’s work Heritage, in which various animals of the savannah, collectively drink water from a single source; similarly, in his work he wishes to emphasise that politicians, despite their various feuds, form a single organism that shapes the image of social reality. Although small flags of the countries that most severely degrade the environment are pinned on the blazers of the delegates, the work itself does not criticise specific politicians. The intention is to point out that it is our representatives and our daily choices that are to blame for what is happening around the world.
