The opening act of Acta Recordings is a VA Compilation and a Zine featuring sculptural work and photoshoot by Yan Higa, aiming to explore the re/dissonances between the calmness and the storm, silence and noise, life and death – as we introduce the world to the uprising a new generation of subversive and neglected artists from Brazil, creating in new languages and imagining new performances…
 

“Which sounds lie within the quietness that precedes the rise of new species?”

In the compilation each artist is an agent of the same story.
Yan Higa’s sculptures are both the carcasses and the seeds fertilized by them.

It is time to break the spell of material and immaterial exhaustion, and prepare the soil for the bloom of a new world, crawling with new life.

Calmaria speaks the language of birth and unveils the silence of perish.
